Fields.

For my sustained investigation, I wanted to focus on advertising specifically targeted towards children and how it affects and molds their perceptions of themselves and their worlds.

I began mixing the imagery in my mind from different children's products and representing it in my artwork. For instance, in piece 4, it shows that from a young age, children begin to praise the products that are advertised towards their demographic. Images 5-7 show that products and advertising have been seared into children's brains and that they have been brainwashed to believe the products have positive attributes.  Advertising aimed at children also influences children's self-images as shown in Image 8. In my pieces, I wanted to demonstrate that advertisers care more about selling their products than they do the well-being of their consumers.
